View this post on Instagram Klavierhaus Salon was honored to host the thrilling Martin Garcia Garcia! #piano #recital #klavierhaus Martín García García, born in Gijón, Spain on December 3rd, 1996 started his musical journey at the age of 5 with Natalia Mazoun and Ilyà Goldfarb of the Russian School. Since graduating from Reina Sofía's Music College he has been under the guidance of Ms. Galina Eguiazarova since he was 14 years old. Ms. Eguiazarova awarded him the honor of the Most Outstanding Student of the Chair award, which was presented by Her Majesty The Queen of Spain. Martín has won several first prizes at national and international competitions including the International Keyboard Institute & Festival 2018 in New York. Martin has performed in many of the great concert halls across Europe and has received great criticism from prominent musicians and pianists including Vladimir Krainev, Arcadi Volodos, Dimitri Bashkirov, Joaquín Achúcarro, and Tatiana Copeland (Sergei Rachmaninov's nephew). He was invited to participate in the International Ruhr Piano Festival (Germany) where he was sponsored by Mr. Radu Lupu. Martin is currently living in New York City under the guidance of Mr. Jerome Rose, pursuing a Master of Music in Piano at Mannes School of Music, The New School.
